109 children fell ill, with 15 of them sent to hospital for treatment, in the second outbreak of food poisoning to hit PCF Sparkletots kindergartens in 2 months.
This latest outbreak took place across 4 PCF Sparkletots kindergartens, which are run by the PAP Community Foundation.
Health authorities were first informed of the first cluster of cases last Friday, with more cases reported up to yesterday.
The source of the outbreak was traced to food prepared by caterer Kate’s Catering – which has been ordered to suspend its operations as investigations continue.
Just last month, a 1 Feb lunch at the PCF Sparkletots in Toa Payoh left 14 children vomiting and having diarrhoea.
PCF at the time refused to publicly disclose the name of the caterer responsible for the food preparation.
