German national Michael Frank Hartung has been hauled to court on allegations that he organised sex tours on which men could have sex with minors.

The 45-year-old, who has obtained his Singapore PR status, now faces 6 charges – 2 for promoting tours, 2 the possession of 245 obscene films and 2 for the possession of 8 uncensored films.

He is now out on S$15,000 bail, paid for by his wife, who is also a Singapore PR.

Hartung is accused of distributing the commercial sex information to two Singaporeans, known only as Jackson Fong and Michael, at a Raffles City shopping centre cafe at 3.30pm on 26 Sept 2015.

He allegedly committed the same offence at a Mackenzie Road pub at 7.45pm on 15 April 2016.

Then, he allegedly distributed the information to two Singapore PRs known only as Frank and Paul.

Hartung is a co-founder of business consulting firm OPTIIS.

His pre-trial conference will take place on 28 Feb.

If convicted of distributing information to promote commercial sex with a minor overseas, he can be jailed up to 10 years and fined for each charge.
