British tourist Rory Lee Hipgrave has been jailed for 6 weeks and fined S$3000 for a series of offences committed while he was drunk.

Amongst them, spewing racial insults, injuring a bartender, and assaulting a police officer.

The offences were committed at a bar along South Bridge Road known as The Vault in September 2013.

The 28-year-old attacked a manager of the bar and racially insulted him. He also threw glasses, two of which hit a bartender.

Hipgrave also lunged at police officers when they arrived to stop the brawl, but he was tasered before he could attack them.
