A huge shock for Grab driver Tee Wei Xian yesterday.

The 35-year-old was driving along Tiong Bahru Rd yesterday when the car he was in almost got smashed by a white Toyota Harrier travelling on the opposite site of the road.

The incident took place at about 5.30pm.

It was raining at the time when Tee noticed that a car driving in the left-most lane on the opposite side of the veered towards him, cutting across 4 lanes and finally stopping when it mounted the kerb and hit a pedestrian walkway.

In the process, it scraped a taxi in front of Tee’s car.

The impact caused the white Toyota’s car’s front right tyre to dislodge and roll away.

Tee was ferrying a passenger to Tiong Bahru Plaza at the time.

He braked but continued on his journey after the white Toyota crashed and came to a standstill.

SCDF officers were later seen on scene attending to the male driver of the white Toyota, who refused to be sent to hospital.

Police are investigating the incident.
