This morning, train service on the same line was yet again disrupted due to a signalling fault.
Peak hour commuters complained of delays and stalled trains between 7am to 9am.
Commuters on the North-South Line were also frustrated, after a track fault caused congestion and significantly slower delays.
Some commuters said it took an hour to across 4 stations.
That service disruption took place at around 6am, and normal service resumed about 3 hours later.
The delay was a big worry for Singapore Polytechnic students who were rushing to sit for exams.
Lucky for them, the school said it would push back exam start times by 15 minutes.
