Elderly Singaporean Falls to His Death at Fairmont Hotel

A 66-year-old Singaporean man was found dead today at the foot of Fairmont Hotel.

The incident took place at about 11am.

The man was a guest at the hotel, and the circumstances surrounding his death are uncertain at the moment.

One eyewitness said he heard a loud crashing sound.

Checking further, he saw a man lying face-down on the ground and bleeding severely, clad in a blue shirt and a pair of blue jeans.

Police have classified the case as an unnatural death and are investigating.

Fairmont Hotel is located in the Raffles City Shopping Centre together with Swissotel – a hotel which has saw several incidences of people jumping to their deaths in recent years.

In June 2015, Swissotel saw 2 suicides in the matter of a week.
