Home-Grown Talent Joseph Schooling Bags Third Asian Games Medal

Swimmer Joseph Schooling won his first silver at the Asian Games in the 50m Butterfly finals with a time of 23.70 seconds, narrowly missing out on pole position to China’s Shi Yang, who completed the race in 23.46 seconds.

This is Schooling’s third medal in Incheon, and he has become the first person to medal in all three Butterfly events at the Asian Games.

Schooling’s latest medal is the third silver for Singapore at Incheon.

He bagged his first gold in the 100m Butterfly finals on Wednesday in a Games record time of 51.76 seconds.

He had also earlier won Singapore’s first medal in a male swimming event at the Asian Games in 24 years, grabbing bronze in the 200m Butterfly event.
