Ikea Singapore Stops Selling Chicken Wings after Diners Complain of Poor Quality

Food in Singapore is serious business.

And, Ikea Singapore has stopped the sale of chicken wings at its in-store cafes, after receiving complaints from diners about how the quality has gone from bad to worse over the years.

The furniture company said in a statement:

“We are aware that our chicken wings have not been meeting our customers’ satisfaction recently, so we have decided to stop selling them temporarily from 23 May so we can improve on it. Together with our supplier, we are committed to providing quality food products for everyone. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your continued support. We hope you’re looking forward to the relaunch as much as we are.”

Customers have flooded Ikea Singapore’s Facebook page with complaints of how its food quality is drastically going down as time goes by.

Besides chicken wings, its iconic Swedish Meatballs dish has also bore the brunt of much criticism.

Ikea Singapore has yet to comment on the whether it will also be temporarily pulling its meatballs off the shelf following the slew of complaints.
