Kids like games, paedophiles like kids.

So 28-year-old paedophile Goh Jun Guan, working at a game shop at Pioneer Mall was his way of snaring pre-teen boys so he could sexually assault them.

Goh, who today had his jail term upped to 18.5 years in addition to 15 strokes of the rotan, preyed on 10 pre-teen boys over 3 years.

He got close to his victims by means of a card game called “Vanguard”.

Goh’s first victim was 10 years old.

Back in 2013, he lured the boy to his flat in Jurong West St 71 to play Vanguard.

There, Goh removed the boy’s shorts and performed sex acts on him.

Another time, Goh told the boy, a primary school student, to perform a sex act on him and took a photo of him doing it.

The boy later discovered what he had been doing was wrong after he read about sexual matters online.

Goh’s other victims were preyed on in similar fashion.

A 12-year-old boy said he allowed Goh to fondle his private parts because Goh had promised to teach him how to be a better Vanguard player.

When he lost a game, the boy said Goh punished him by performing a sex act on him in a public toilet at Pioneer Mall.

The boy said he let Goh abuse him because he felt he “could not run away”.

Another of Goh’s victims, a 12-year-old boy, said Goh took him to a public toilet and molested him and took photos of his private parts.

This, after he promised to “upgrade” the boy’s cards if he agreed to certain “conditions”.

Goh was arrested in Oct 2014, after a 15-year-old boy reported to police that he had been exchanging sexually explicit messages with a man over Facebook.

That man was Goh.

When he was arrested, Police found 43 explicit photos on his handphone.
