Muji Eel Rice Safe to Eat after Passing AVA Radioactivity Tests

That tasty Conger Eel Rice Kit that’s being sold at Muji stores has passed radioactivity testing by the AVA and is safe to eat.

There were scares earlier that the food product could contain ingredients sourced from areas around the Fukushima nuclear disaster in 2011, and could have been exposed to contamination from radioactive material.

Muji says it will continue to accept refunds on the product until 31 Dec this year.

The eel rice kit has been recalled in Taiwan and Hong Kong and Muji had previously removed the products from shelves in Singapore and urged consumers not to consume it.
