Channel NewsAsia TV producer Juwon Park has gone public with her allegations of sexism at Mediacorp.

Among the Park’s accusations are having been “tickled” by a male colleague when they shook hands, being made to lean on the shoulder of a male colleague and call him “wife”, and then being told that she should “enjoy” comments that come her way.

Park claims to have worked for Channel NewsAsia for one and a half years.

In a whatsapp message, she indicated that she had been told she cannot be a presenter because she has “no boobs”.

The identity of the person who gave Park that fatalistic piece of “advice” is unclear.

A Mediacorp spokesman says the company is investigating the allegations.

“Mediacorp does not condone sexism in the workplace. We take a serious view to this matter and are investigating.”
