No Taxis During Morning Peak Hour Because Taxi Uncles are in Hiding?

No taxis in sight when you need them during peak hour – could this be because taxi uncles are hiding and waiting for bookings?

That’s what one netizen Samson Chow claims.

Chow snapped this photo showing a long row of taxis lining the road at Changi Airport.

He said, “All hiding here, waiting for call.

The photo was uploaded online at about 8.30am today.

Taxi drivers currently face stiff competition from other drivers using third-party apps like Uber and GrabTaxi.

They have demanded that the government regulate these apps, as the taxi industry sees a sharp drop in business following the introduction of such apps in Singapore.

    This is a q to pick pax at terminal 2 not hide for waiting calls
