SAF Scholar Resigns from SBS Transit CEO Post over “Personal Indiscretion”

SBS Transit CEO Gan Juay Kiat has resigned to take responsibility for a “personal indiscretion”, which is reportedly an inappropriate relationship.

The 61-year-old, a SAF Overseas Scholar and President’s Scholar, had been with SBS Transit for 11 years, serving as chief operating officer and executive director before being appointed CEO in 2010.

SBS Transit will be appointing a new CEO in due course.

Gan started his career in the SAF, where he held several senior command and staff appointments, rising to the rank of lieutenant-colonel.

Prior to joining SBS Transit, he held several high-profile positions in Government-Linked Companies (GLCs) such as Times Publishing, CapitLand, and Ascott Group
