Singaporean on Holiday in Bali Consumes “Magic Mushrooms” and Jumps to His Death at Hotel

23-year-old Ong Chee Seng was on holiday Bali with his friends when he consumed drugs and leaped to his death from the 5th floor of the hotel he was staying in.

The drug in question is known as “magic mushrooms” – a “type 1” narcotics.

Ong’s friend and classmate, Lee Jun Yu, said they bought a magic mushroom cocktail outside their hotel on Saturday night (6 May).

After consuming the drink, Ong started hallucinating and kept saying that he wanted to “jump”.

Lee said he tried to hold him down, but he managed to break free.

At about 2am, Ong jumped to his death from the 5th floor of the hotel.

He was found in grey boxers and a T-shirt by a security guard, who reported that his legs and arms were bent at an awkward angle and he was bleeding from the mouth.

Ong died upon impact.

Paramedics who arrived later sent his body to BIMC hospital in Kuta.

Police are investigating the incident.
