Three Train Disruptions Hit MRT Network in 5 Hours

Both the North-South and East-West Lines were hit by 3 service disruptions in a span of 5 hours yesterday morning.

The first fault took place at 8.54am, disrupting train services between Boon Lay and Joo Koon stations.

Four minutes later, another track fault led to longer travelling times of about 10 minutes extra between Yishun and Woodlands stations.

The delays on the East-West Line returned to normal at 9.37am.

Finally, train services between Ang Mo Kio and Admiralty stations were disrupted due to another reported train fault, which evenetually got cleared up at 1.47pm.

A track point failure near Admiralty station resulted in trains slowing down over the affected area.
