Who’s the Public Disgrace? Singapore Police Handcuff Child Thieves in Full View of Passers-by

These children were handcuffed by officers from the Singapore Police Force because they “tried to run away”.

The kids, who look like 8 to 12 year-olds, were arrested for theft.

The Singapore Police Force has come out to say that they had to be handcuffed.

The photo has made its rounds online, inciting responses ranging from embarrassment to anger amongst netizens.

The Singapore Police Force did not clarify why police officers who are possibly 3 times older than the culprits could not control them in a more humane manner, especially since the cuffing was done in public view.
