A Chinese man was crushed to death by a trailer in Geylang yesterday at around 7pm.

The 59-year-old uncle was riding an e-bicycle along Geylang Lorong 13, when he collided with a trailer at the junction of Sims Drive.

He was reportedly crushed under the wheels of the truck and killed.

Said an eyewitness:

“The rider was lying on the ground and looked like he suffered head injuries. Many people went to try and help him.”

Another eyewitness said the e-biker is the owner of a zi char stall located at Geylang Lorong 17.

At the time of the crash, he was delivering a takeaway order.

A durian seller in the vicinity said that the e-biker was a likeable man and he often bought food from his stall.

The incident is being investigated.
