A Toyota Sports Utility Vehicle carrying 4 Singaporeans crashed with a Malaysia-registered car in Genting Highlands, killing the Malaysian driver.
The accident took place on the North-South Expressway at around 6.30am on Friday (5 May).
41-year-old site supervisor Mohd Selamat Besar was driving his Mitsubishi Lancer to his workplace when the accident occurred.
Police say that both cars were travelling from Johor towards Malacca when the Toyota moved from the left to the right lane, crashing into the Mitsubishi.
Both cars turned turtle in the wake of the crash and there tyre marks and debris strewn all around the road.
The 4 Singaporeans – Mr Lim Beng Keong, 56, Ms Tan Lai Foong, 54, Ms Tan Lai Choo, 56, and Ms Brenda Lim Zhi Ning, 28 – were taken to Hospital Melaka and are in stable condition.
Police have seized the vehicles and investigations are ongoing.
