Lee Hsien Yang has mocked Law and Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam and Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan in a cheeky Facebook post.
This comes a day after the pair went ahead and sued Lee for defamation, filing the suit in a Singapore court.
Lee is currently living in the UK and when was first threatened with the lawsuit, he challenged them to sue him in a UK court.
This time, he taunted Vivi and Shan, posting an aerial-view photo of the sheer expanse of land that 26 Ridout Road sits on, with accompanying text saying that it is up to the public to judge the actions of the two ministers commencing legal action in Singapore when he had challenged them to sue him in the UK.
The colonial bungalow at 26 Ridout Road is currently being rented by Mr Shanmugam.
Lee had criticised the 2 ministers in his post, saying that they received “state-owned renovations” for the black and white colonial bungalows which they rented.
He also mentioned the Keppel corruption case, the corruption probe involving Transport Minister S Iswaran, and SPH’s inflating of circulation numbers of its newspapers in the same post.
Lee has already been made to put up a POFMA correction notice regarding the post, to which he has complied.
In spite of that, the two ministers threatened Lee with a lawsuit if he did not apologise, withdraw his allegations and pay damages.
Lee did not not accede to any of their demands.
