PASIRISIAN: You can say what you like about his guy Desmond Lim, but you cannot fault him for his diligence, sincerity and perseverance. It seems that even a sea of criticism coming from his “famous” video cannot sink him.
In fact, to his credit, he polled 46,000 thousand votes in the rather difficult 6-man GRC of Pasir Ris-Punggol. His result beat that of the SFP (Tanjong Pager, Jurong), PPP in CCK, RP in West Coast and AMK, and SPP in Bishan-Toa Payoh, some by more than 2 times the number of votes!
Not too long ago, Tan Jee Say had even suggested that the SDA should give way to him in Pasir Ris-Punggol. On hindsight, what cheek and audacity!
So well done, Desmond. Yes, size does matter, and your was bigger. Hope to see you again in 2020 or 2021!
