PAUL: I want to share with you this story which I came across on a local forum. I hope that those who employ maids and read this will have more compassion and treat their maids as human beings like themselves and not some cheap labour that you can just lord over and do as you wish. People come here to earn a living, paying their salary is no excuse to make them cater to your every whim and fancy.
“Heart breaking scene @ QB House I encountered just now. Went for my haircut, saw this sinkie employer brought his Indo maid there. He told the barber to cut her hair until very short ( shave the side and back with high slope) The poor maid keep begging him “sir pls pls not too short..pls..sir”. The sinkie keep telling her “no short is good for you, the shorter the better” and he instructed the barber to go ahead and shave her hair. The maid cried when her hair being shaved like a boy’s haircut.
I stood up from the waiting bench and told him how can you force your female worker to cut her hair so short? You dun own her, she is not a slave to you! The CB uncle said “I want her to look ugly so cannot find bf outside.” And they quickly left the salon.. Sinkie really are the worse employer! If one day i saw the news this man got mudered by the maid I will have no sympathy on him.”

Thats what insecurities do… because other maid are more prettier than thier employer so they will make you ugly in your outward appearance but they will not change who you really are… jealousy will kill them thou… No humanity spare some of your kindness

Yes most employer in Singapore treat you as slave I work to Indian family in Singapore and both high educated my madam force me to cut my hair short and every time she angry spit saliva on my face and she always blackmail me I just cried and I told her plz let me go home rather than you treat me like a dog 3storey house 2 children 3 hour sleep ok only eat noodle and sardine everyday everyday I cry I beg my sir to.let me go but my madam take my money that I keep I go home with no money but I’m happy my mom cry when she saw me that I’m very thin

Mostly employer is like this with there helper for them they paid the service but they dont even think if the salary that they give is truly enough
Mostly employer’s are arrogant specialy in midle east and singapore

This reminds me of my story.
I started working when I was 19.I had very beuatiful hair. One day my mistress noticed her husband looking at me. The next week she told me that you have lice and you should get a haircut. I did not think I had lice but I went with her thinking that I may get a girlish short cut. She took me to a barbershop and told the barber to shave my head clean. I could not do anything. I remember everyone in the shop looking at me. I cried and begged but I think the barber was used to this sitiation and he had done it to other servant girls. My mistress kept saying to me let him do his job and that its ok for the girls to be bald sometimes. The barber sat me in a chair and using a clipper quickly got rid of all my hair. Then he shaved it with a blade. I felt miserable. For weeks I cried every time.

I had my hair chopped and kept almost always bald when I was younger. My master was a very devout arab and wanted me to wear hijab at all times. He was very brutal and strict. One time he saw me without it talking to the driver guy. He personally took me and got my head shaved saying that it is good for you and that now you would not go without the hijab because you dont want to show a bald head. He was so strict that while I was working for him, every few months he would do the same thing. Sometimes he would not even take me to barbers. Just sat me on a chair, use his clippers to get rid of my hair and I was bald as an egg again. I first hated it but then got used to it. When I finally left then I grow my hair.
