TOMMY: I was alarmed by a brochure being slotted into our household by this company Steel Elite Pte Ltd, claiming that they have been appointed as the main contractor in fixing and replacing doors and windows for HDB flats.
They claimed the project was initiated because residents had complained about malfunctioned HDB doors and windows, which was clearly misleading as HDB residents might think that they were appointed by HDB (see the front page of the attached brochures).
Upon checking their history, I discovered that Steel Elite had in fact, distributed the same brochures back in 2013, and of which, HDB had given warning to residents that they were not even registered with HDB nor approved by HDB.
Even Presidential-Candidate Tan Kin Lian had warned about Steel Elite Pte Ltd in his Facebook.
I hope you will highlight to your readers to be absolutely discerning when engaging their services, as they are not registered nor approved by HDB.

i recieved a same brochure last week and i intend to have replacement to the front gate . should i go on or check it up first.

They actually stated everything very clearly in their flyers. I do not find it misleading in anyway. I engaged them anyways and their products and services are too notch. I dun know about others.
