One Grandpa to the Next: Francis Yuen Replaces Tan Cheng Bock as PSP Sec-Gen

The Progress Singapore Party has announced that Dr Tan Cheng Bock will step down as party Secretary-General.

The 80-year-old will hand over the reins to 70-year-old Francis Yuen Kin Pheng – who was formerly the PSP’s Assistant Secretary-General.

Dr Tan will assume the position of Chairman, booting his loyal deputy Wang Swee Chuang to the Deputy Chairman position.

Newly-minted Central Executive Committee members Kayla Low and Phang Yew Huat have also been given official appointments as Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer respectively.

The pair were part of 6 new CEC members elected on Sunday (28Mar).

Yesterday, another 2 party members were co-opted into the CEC – Kumaran Pillai and Taufik Supan.
