IN PICTURES: Orchard Road Morphs into a Huge Playground for Pedestrian Night

A gala of fun and games for the estimated 3000 people that attended the first ever Pedestrian Night at Orchard road in 20 years yesterday (4Oct).

The street carnival was also one hell of a squeeze. Some 600 metres of Singapore’s iconic shopping stretch was closed for a night of family-bonding activities.

Face-painting, massages, song and dances, and even a mini tennis tourny — all for free.

And the ones who probably appreciated this event the most? Dads and husbands.

With Ion Orchard looming in the background, It gave their wallets a much-needed break.
