Singapore’s Commissioner of Police has admitted that the decision to send in specially-trained riot troops to quell the Little India riots took unacceptably long.
Mr Ng Joo Hee also slammed the performance of police officers as imperfect.
He was testifying at the Committee of Inquiry today.
The riots broke out at around 8.30pm. By the time the Special Operations Command was activated, more than 2 hours had passed.
It was only close to 11pm that these riot troops arrived on scene.
(Ed: by that time even the mamak also close shop lah, where got anymore riot)
