PVP Chief Lim Tean “Steals Clients’ Monies” Claims Lawyer M Ravi

Lawyer and socio-political activist M Ravi has accused People’s Voice Party leader Lim Tean of unlawfully using clients’ money and sexual harassment.

Ravi, who up until now had been working at Lim’s law firm Carson Law Chambers, said in a Facebook post over the weekend:

“Many people have asked me why i left Tean Lim . He manages finances very badly and steals clients’ monies. I will report him to Law Society shortly on behalf of the relevant clients and also for sexually harassing Sankari.

He also openly sexually sexually harassed Sankari, my paralegal and often cited me as mad- relapsing of bipolar disorder as a weapon in his &and threatened to withdraw as my supervising solicitor when confronted.

I would to bring all witnesses for Lim Tean to see andif debate with me if he says im bipolar and lying. Btw he deemed me fit to represent him b4 i discharged myself from acting for this crook of the century. He is free to sue me for defamation and im free to cross examine him in court. Lol”

In a subsequent video shared on Facebook, Ravi added that Lim had “fleeced” several clients of sums north of S$10,000.

The Facebook post and video appear to be no longer available for public viewing.

Lim was arrested in October last year in relation to a case of criminal breach of trust, in which he allegedly misappropriated funds awarded by the court to a former client.

Police were also investigation for allegedly stalking a former staff of his law firm.

In September this year, debt collectors turned up at his office to hound him over unpaid debts.

In 2020, he was arrested for on a criminal breach of trust charge, allegedly for misappropriating S$30,000 that he received from AXA Insurance on behalf of a former client.

In 2019, Lim avoided bankruptcy after repaying a US$150,000 (S$200,000) sum of money owed to a Chinese businessman.
