Lovers beware, especially if you get intimate if you partner in front of his or her camera lens. In the event of a breakup, those pictures of you dancing naked to Taylor Swift’s “Teardrops on My Guitar” while eating pizza could just make their way to the internet.

In Britain, jilted boyfriend Nathan Lloyd took revenge on his ex-girlfriend by posting a photograph of her posing in her underwear on her own Instagram account, and changed her password so she could not remove it. She sent him that picture of herself in racy, lacey underwear while they were still going out. Lloyd also posted a sexual video of her on her Instagram account.

The 22 year old has been charged in court, and is now out on bail and banned from using any social media websites during this time.

Singaporeans apparently don’t shy away from revenge porn as well. In one instance, a man uploaded six naked pictures of his ex-lover on Facebook so his friends could “like” them. The victim didn’t make a police report.

Another woman, 29-year-old Miss Joan Tan, had nude and intimate photos with her ex-boyfriend uploaded on social media. He wanted to shame her for cheating on him with another man, and refusing to give their relationship another shot when he tried to get back together.

Psychologists say jilted men often resort to revenge porn because they want to vent their rage over being rejected, and a woman’s modesty is where she’s most vulnerable.

In Singapore, an offender can be charged for several offences, including insulting the modesty of a woman, and electronically transmitting obscene objects.
