The operation, now into its second day, involves 28 officers from the Johor state Fire and Rescue Department, police and state Forestry Department
The 2 Singaporeans were reported missing yesterday at about 6pm, according to Malaysia news agencies.
In a statement today, Kulai District Police said that the Singaporeans have not been found as of 1pm.
The 2 Singaporeans reportedly arrived at the foot of Gunung Pulai at about 12pm yesterday in a Singapore-registered car.
They then entered the forest reserve area despite it being sealed off at the time, and didn’t emerge after that.
The 2 Singaporeans are believed to be injured, according to police investigations so far.
