Even dogs in the area are scared of these rodents, say residents living in Bukit Batok. The rats are believed to have set up home in a hill near to Bukit Batok MRT station. The plot of land is managed by the HDB. It’s also near to a hawker centre, and a McDonald’s restaurant.
Redwire spoke to hawkers and staff from the train station and McDonald’s. They say that they are afraid the rats might attack people, just like how they bully the stray dogs when fighting for food scraps.
Bukit Batok resident Ryan Keith took a video of the rats scurrying about at a hill just beside Bukit Batok MRT station. Here’s the screenshots. Ryan has alerted the authorities about the situation.
