The Workers’ Party has apparently sent lawyer letters to some residents in Aljunied-Hougang-Punggol East Town Council to push them to pay the S&CC fees which they owe the town council.
Close to 30% of residents there have not paid their S&CC fees.
Some residents say they have received the letters, in which is written that further legal action will be taken against them if they still refuse to pay the fees.
Officers at the People’s Action Party branch in AHPETC says that several residents have brought the letters to them seeking help.
Recently, Tanjong Pagar Town Council, run by the PAP, had come under fire after it was revealed that it sent lawyer letters to residents who didn’t pay their S&CC fees.
