There’s apparently a scammer on the loose who’s duping people into paying deposits for a service than running off without a word.
Boo See Cheong, who says he’s a victim of this scammer, says that he used the online selling platform, Carousell, to engage a “Jonathan” to perform a car-wrapping service.
However, it seems that he didn’t hear a word from “Jonathan” after he paid a S$100 deposit through bank transfer.
“Posted $400 wrapping service booked appointment deposit $100 den MIA all the way.. seriously cannot tahan such nuisance.”
Other Carousell users also seem to have fallen pray to “Jonathan”, judging from the number of complaints on his account about him “running road”.
