Doctors have amputated the sole of the foot of an 88-year-old woman who was involved in an accident on SMRT Bus 913.
She was reportedly alighting from the bus, when the bus driver drove off.
That caused the old lady to fall.
Her left foot was crushed in a bloody mess, and the skin was torn off.
Doctors had to perform an emergency operations to remove the sole of her foot due to the damage.
The old lady is conscious, but remains in frail condition.
The 3 April incident took place at Woodlands Town Centre at around 12.45pm.
SMRT has suspended the driver behind the wheel, and has apologised to the old lady’s family.
Still, family members are furious and are considering legal action.
