The driver of the Mercedes that caused the horror crash 2 days ago along the AYE reportedly claimed to have been possessed by God.
That’s what a witness at the scene said he was told by the driver’s son, who was sitting in the passenger seat when the incident happened.
The witness said he was speaking to the driver’s son after the incident.
He claimed that the son told him that his father, 53-year-old Lim Chai Heng, was sending him to work.
However, they missed an exit and along the expressway and because of that would have to drive much further up to make a u-turn.
That’s when the son said his father started behaving strangely, then suddenly exclaimed that he was “possessed by God”, that he was a “millionaire and that his “friend had come to look for him”.
His father then unexpectedly turned the car around and drove in the opposite direction of traffic.
Even after the crash, Lim was seen leaning on his car, smoking and mumbling to himself.
At times, he flared up upon getting agitated.
Lim is now in hospital and has been charged with causing death by rash act.
He will be remanded at the Institute of Mental Health for psychiatric assessment after his discharge from hospital.
The accident claimed the life of a Toyota Vios driver, Jackie Liong.
4 others, including Liong’s wife, were rushed to hospital for treatment.

Can he chose a better excuse than to use any god. He should be Hàng by his balls if he has one.
