Dr Lee Wei Ling: Lee Hsien Loong and Ho Ching tried to build a “Family Cult”

Dr Lee Wei Ling has made another serious allegation against her brother PM Lee Hsien Loong as the Lee Family Feud deepens.

Dr Lee said in a Facebook post today that PM Lee and his wife Ho Ching had attempted to build a “family cult”.

Dr Lee claimed that PM Lee “threatened angrily to gazette 38, Oxley Road” after his Lee Kuan Yew’s will was read, which would mean that the house would come under the government’s control.

Calling PM Lee a “dishonourable son”, Dr Lee said she was disturbed by this as PM Lee was going against LKY’s wishes.

LKY had stated in his will that 38 Oxley Road be demolished, or never open to the public.

In her latest post, Dr Lee also said that Ho Ching’s “sabbatical” after LKY’s death was spent packing away his items to loan to the National Heritage Board, and that Ho attempted to “recreate the way Oxley looked decades ago”.

Dr Lee had previously claimed that PM Lee and Ho Ching was grooming their son, Li Hongyi, to enter politics, though Li has publicly denied his interest in running for Office.

She claimed that PM Lee was trying to preserve 38 Oxley Road to milk LKY’s popularity for personal gain.

This latest salvo by Dr Lee comes after allegations made by her and Lee Hsien Yang stating that PM Lee had abused his power as prime minister, and that Ho Ching had undue influence over the civil service.

The siblings also claim that PM Lee used the “organs of the state” against them, with Lee Hsien Yang saying he believed he had been “spied on”.

The Lee siblings are currently locked in a dispute over the 38 Oxley Road house in which Dr Lee and Lee Hsien Yang, who are executors of LKY’s estate, are angry that the government is not committing to the demolition of the house as he had stated in his will.

PM Lee has denied the allegations, and is set to answer questions from MPs when parliament convenes on Monday (3 Jul).
