Filipino Radiographer Edz Ello Posts Inflammatory Remarks on Singaporeans, Prays Disaster Strikes Singapore

We’ve got to sympathise with the Philippines. After all year after year the country gets hit by natural disaster left, right and centre (remember Tacloban anyone?) Added to that, terrorism in the South.

But most people put their sympathies aside when a foreigner slams a country’s natives. Openly. That’s what’s happening to this Tan Tock Seng Hospital radiographer who goes by the Facebook name Edz Ello. This viral comment which Edz posted on Facebook is making its rounds online, and its causing much anger amongst Singaporeans.

Now if that isn’t enough, Edz apparently hopes Philippine President Benigno Aquino will colonise Singapore and turn it into a giant Lucky Plaza. In his defence, Edz Ello says a hacker posted that message, along with more replies using his account.

Tan Tock Seng Hospital management has been alerted to this act of online annoyance, and we await action which the hospital will take. If any, because in its online reply, it didn’t mention that any disciplinary action.

Tan Tock Seng Hospital has been in the news recently for firing Singaporean social activist Roy Ngerng, saying that Roy’s conduct was “incompatible with the values and standards expected of employees”. Supposedly, that’s because of his involvement in several Return Our CPF protests at Hong Lim Park.

Singaporeans await Tan Tock Seng Hospital’s verdict, and possible punishment of Edz Ello.
