“We are currently in the process of moving all customer accounts to a new billing system and these bills are determined to be the final bills of terminated accounts.”
That’s the explanation by Singtel for the “fake” billing letters that have been making the rounds.
One Clarence Tan clearly felt the bill was a scam as presently he isn’t a customer of Singtel.
Tan, who shared online a copy of the bill, even highlighted the “error” in the P.O box address of the “fake” bill.
Singtel has said that “the bills in question are indeed issued by Singtel and are accurate”, adding that it will follow up with affected customers where applicable.”
