Customers of M1, Starhub, Singtel and MyRepublic have all had their internet service cut, after an internet cable in the area was cut.
According to fibre operator NetLink Trust, the cable cut caused internet and fixed voice services to go down today at about 4.30pm.
NetLink Trust has identified the cables and is now locating where the cut occurred to fix it.
NetLink Trust, formerly known as OpenNet, is Singapore’s high-speed fibre broadband network builder and provides fibre links to telcos.
Last February, a similar incident happened at the Commonwealth and Ghim Moh area.
A cut cable brought down Internet connection for households in the vicinity for almost 13 hours, and is believed to be caused by a contractor doing sewage works.
