It’s still uncertain if the National Development Programme (NRP) will be extended to flats built in the early 1990s.
National Development Minister Khaw Boon Wan says the ministry will take this into consideration.
He said priority will be given to towns which have not benefited from main or interim upgrading programmes, if any extension is made.
Launched 7 years ago, the NRP improves selected public housing areas with physical, communal facilities such as pavillions and porches.
At present, only blocks built before 1989 are eligible for this enhancement.
