Take a hike guys!

Singapore’s Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew has promised that fare increases for public transport will not be more than 2.8%.

He said that this fare hike is less than the original figure of 3.4% which would have been slapped on commuters.

Mr Lui also said that this fare hike will not affect any other future fare increases.

This comes as the Public Transport Council starts its annual fare review exercise.

Mr Lui said that the lower increase next year is due to the lower cost of energy.

In April this year, fares were increased by 3.2%.

Transport companies are looking at how.such profit they are making every year. It is ironic that fares are still increasing despite making huge profit.Singaporeans are ” kuai” as we Pay And Pay. This increment has caused higher inflation . At $1,000/- per month the lower strata of ppl in society will suffer even more. But higher profit will proceed regardless of inflationary effect. Ai yea yea, c lah, mesti mati
