A man scaled the platform screen door and climbed onto the train tracks this afternoon at Tanah Merah MRT Station.
CCTV footage showed the man scaling the half-height platform screen door and hopping onto the east-bound track, where he lurked until MRT station staff escorted him back onto the platform.
The track intrusion causes a delay on the East-West Line for up to 10 minutes.
Police detained the man and are investigating the incident.
About 177 track intrusions took place between 2003 and 2015.
