Oasis Primary School has suspended mass gatherings of students, after more than 50 students suffered from bouts of vomiting.

The incident took place on Friday, 6 Jan, and the school says all the affected pupils have recovered.

The school’s principal, Mrs Ong Chew Lu See said that the school took “preemptive steps to disinfect the school premises on top of the regular cleaning” while engaging the NEA, MOH and PUB for assistance.

She added that daily temperature-taking is also conducted in the classrooms.

According to one mother, her Primary 1 son fell ill on the 4th day of school, suffering from vomiting, diarrhoea and fever.

Investigations into the incident are underway.
