Come 2017, you’ll be paying more for trash collection if your home is under the public waste collection scheme.
HDB and condominium dwellers will need to pay S$8.25 per month- up from the current S$7.49.
Landed property owners will need to pay S$27.47 – also a 10 percent jump from the previous S$24.81 per month paid.
All fees are inclusive of GST, and are a separate charge from other items on the monthly utility bill such as S&CC.
The National Environment Agency says the fee increase is due to higher operating costs.
Waste collectors are appointed by the NEA through an open tender.
The agency will conduct its next fee review in 2019.
