Professor James Best has been appointed the next Dean of the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. This was said in a joint statement by Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the Imperial College of London.
Professor Best is currently the Head of Medical School at the University of Melbourne in Australia. He has 30 years’ experience in research, teaching and medical leadership. He will assume the position on July 29, replacing outgoing Prof Dermot Kelleher.
Professor Kelleher had been Dean of both Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and Imperial College’s Faculty of Medicine for the past two years. He will continue in his position as Imperial College’s Vice-President for Health.
