Ai Takagi, one of former editors of website The Real Singapore, has been jailed for 10 months on 4 charges of sedition after pleading guilty to the charges.
The 23-year-old Australian of Japanese descent is accused of inciting hostility amongst races and classes in Singapore, following a series of articles published between 13 Oct 2013 and February last year.
Her husband and second TRS editor Yang Kaiheng is facing similar charges.
The 27-year-old has denied the charges and has claimed trial.
State media has reported that the pair earned close to S$500,000 in advertising revenue from running TRS.
Takagi, who is now pregnant, has apologised for her actions.
