The latest Consumer Sentiment Survey by online property portal PropertyGuru indicates that 88 percent of Singaporeans are unhappy with high property prices.
Only 27 percent felt that the government was not doing enough to make Singapore housing affordable even before the government’s latest cooling measures.
80 percent of Singaporeans called for the reduction of the ABSD imposed on Singaporeans purchasing their second and subsequent properties.
About 40 percent of millenials, aged 21 to 37, currently live with with their parents.
A majority of them cite a lack of adequate savings as the reason for staying with their parents.
The PropertyGuru survey polled 960 persons from Singapore.
