BTO flats are still thoroughly oversubscribed, according to the latest data released by the HDB.
As of Thurs (8 Jun), 2,390 applicants have applied for the 129 five-room flats available in the Serangoon North Vista BTO project.
There are more than 13 first-time applicants for each unit.
For four-room flats in the same project, nine applicants are vying for each unit.
Bedok BTO projects such as Bedok South Blossoms are also oversubscribed.
There are around than 3 first-time applicants for each available unit.
HDB states that the median application rate for first-time applicants for three-room and larger flats in this exercise is 2.2 applicants per unit.
It added that this rate is comparable to previous BTO launches in February 2023 and November 2022, which had lower application rates compared to those during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Applications for the May sales launch closed on Thursday, and the flats will be allocated through balloting.
HDB had extended the application period by 3 days due to technical glitches and long waiting times on the flat portal.
