IN PICTURES: 26,000 Celebrate Right to Love at Pink Dot 2014 in Singapore

Some 26,000 Singaporeans and Permanent Residents filled Hong Lim Park in support of Pink Dot 2014. That’s 10 times more than the number of people that attended the first ever Pink Dot event in 2009, and a prominent show that the LGBT community is gaining more acceptance in a Singapore society more known for its prudence than openness.

A host of speakers provided their insights at the Community Voices segment. Amongst them:
Blogger and social commentator, Mr Miyagi
Uban artist, Samantha Lo, known to many as the Sticker Lady
Deputy Director of LGBT support group Oogachaga, Leow Yangfa,
Lawyer and human rights advocate, M Ravi
Student and social volunteer, Melissa Tsang,
Fanny Ler, a transgender woman, and her husband, Zack Ling
