He had stopped his car alongside the road opposite Takashimaya and gotten out of his vehicle on Tuesday at about 5.30pm.
Seeing that there were many oncoming cars, he hurried back to his cab and was about to get into the driver’s seat when a car horned and him.
An eyewitness said the driver who horned at the taxi uncle also hurled some colourful words at him.
Apparently buay song that he got told off in such a manner, the taxi uncle then moved forward towards the other car in a confrontational manner.
But a few steps into that, he clutched his head with both hands, then slumped back onto his taxi and collapsed.
The eyewitness says he believed the taxi uncle had suffered a stroke, and that the whole incident took place in a span of just 15 minutes.
