A 23-year-old Malaysian furniture company worker is the chief suspect in the fatal slashing of his boss, Lin Xinjie.
The incident took place yesterday at the International Furniture Centre building at Sungei Kadut.
Lin, one of the company directors of Jiji Singapore, was found lying motionless in a pool of blood inside the building by police at about 1pm.
There were reportedly multiple slash wounds on his body.
Lin was pronounced dead on site.
The Malaysian worker, who was still at the scene and had several cuts on his body, was arrested.
He is believed to have injured another company director.
Police have classified the case as murder, and investigations are ongoing.
The worker will be charged in court tomorrow.
