You can hide a tiny plastic bag containing 0.35 grams of cocaine in many places, even stick it where the sun don’t shine.
This Singaporean chose to hide it in her passport.
That blur like sotong move saw her nabbed by Indonesian authorities on the tourist island of Bali.
In a statement yesterday, Indonesian authorities said Tan was nabbed upon arrival at the airport on 14 Nov.
She is among 6 foreigners arrested in Indonesia in the past 2 months for attempting to smuggle drugs into the country.
In November alone:
-a Swiss man was arrested with a total of 30.04g of marijuana in his luggage
-a Thai man was arrested with 17.76g of marijuana concealed in his underwear
-a Chilean man was arrested with 77.26g of liquid methamphetamine in his black suitcase
This month so far:
-a Hong Kong man was arrested on with 3.2kg of crystal methamphetamine in his luggage
-another Hong Kong man was caught with 4kg of crystal methamphetamine wrapped in four branded pet food packaging in his luggage
Indonesia has extremely strict drug laws, and convicted smugglers are sometimes executed by firing squad.
More than 150 people are currently on death row, mostly for drug crimes.
